I called my boyfriend and we were talking and i asked him a question. Then he started getting really rude towards me. I don't know if it was because he was with his friends or if i really made him mad.

Guys like to show off period! When a guy shows off it makes him feel like a macho man. Ever hear of the song 'I want to be a macho man?'. Every guy wants to be a macho man in his heart so he will show off to prove it to himself out of his own insecurity. Guys show off with their friends, family, strangers, to co-workers, acquantices, and of course to girls all the time. This is just the way we are.

I don't understand when men show off at a pool ether. It might as well be the same thing.
Hooting and hollering and seeing who can make the biggest splash over and over again. Then they act all excited like they're impressing someone when they're not impressing anyone.
It must be an animal thing going back to ape ancestors.

I know that it is in the nature of the "Male" to need to be "Manly" in front of his friends. Yet there is also that line that should never be crossed, and I believe is not crossed when a Man and a Woman share true deep emotions. A Man that really loves his Woman does not need to be a jerk to impress his friends. He loves that woman heart body and soul and thats enough for him. Then you also have to take into consideration his age. Is he young still in school or older. Boys are not Men, and thats a huge difference in their ability to feel and return emotions

All guys show off in front of their friends. They think by doing this it makes them look all tough and cool which seriously it doesn't Try talking to him and tell him how you feel. If he doesn't understand how you feel then seriously he's not worth it. Try ignoring it as well because then he'll see that he's acting all cool to his friends but he can see that you're not interested in him acting all tough. See how it goes and go from there.

some guys do show off.... i say he showed off becuz he wanted to proove to his friends he own you. but next time that happens, tease him infront of his friends, get your eyebrows did, your hair beautiful, new clothes, makeup B E A UTIFUL!!!!!!! then do the flirt but cant have move on him, and watch him get soft, lol, this is fun 4 u!

First thing I would question is his maturity level and his commitment to the relationship. Guys like to seem like their in charge so it may have been an ego thing for him. If you really care for him, forget about it and remember, he needs to feel like the one wearing the pants!

yeah they totally do. it's lame that why i have trouble getting along with guys often. but even the best ones do it. don't fret. its just insecurity or something.
