Someone asked me what a Christian must believe. I told them this:?

A Christian is somebody who believes that God created the universe in six days, created man and woman and that they ate fruit from a tree that gave them knowledge but god didn't want them to know it, so God told them not to. They ate from that tree because God had made the earth like a kind-of holding cell for Lucifer who was the number one angel in Heaven until Lucifer, who God made almost perfect (He wasn;t that perfect, or he wouldn't have wanted to be away from God!) rebelled against something and God made lucifer satan (Who God said was always evil anyway) and satan hated that and lied to eve and said that it would be OK to eat the fruit so she did and God made death to come on the earth and things got real real bad and God got mad at satan and said that he would take Satan's legs away and make him eat dust, not bugs, but anyway I don;t know what a Christian is required to believe specifically about all that, but I think a Christian has to believe everything the Bible says or he

will go to Hell but not sure... and they can believe that God is three gods in one is OK, but JW's don;t believe that - both sides have good points but i don't think that being clear on exactly WHAT god IS matters to real salvation, but you have to believe also that god was mad at everyone on the planet and decided to kill everyone except for noah, who was a good man even though he drank too much a little and one of his sons was gay, but Noah took thousands - wait - millions of animals on a big boat and God closed the door and it rained for forty days and flooded the earth and killed all men, women and babies and killed all animals too except for some fish, which I assume they caught and fed to the carnivores... A Christian believes that jesus grew up and was blessed by god and at some point had to figure out that he was, indeed, from God and part of God and actually the number two part of God, what Christians call the Word, or the Son part. So in reality, Christians know that Jesus was, in fact, God, and that God was also the Father and the holy spirit who is also part of God is what CHristians use to be a Christian. Jesus told us that we would do greater things than even jesus did and Christians believe Jesus and sonce no one has had that much faith yet, we do not see miracles yet, but every Christian tries to make his faith that strong because we believe Jesus. Christians must also believe that Jesus did a lot of miracles and that he chose 12 people to make his religion on the earth, the religion of God. and that Jesus was tortured by non-christians and put to death so that people would not have to

make animal sacrifices anymore - so that if someone wanted to be right with God or wanted to go to Heaven all they would have to do is say with their mouth and believe in Jesus. You might have to get baptized also, I don;t know, but you should do it justin case. Baptized means dunked in water. After Jesus and the disciples died, a man named Saul was hating Chrisitans when he was walking down a street God made him blind and told Saul to go somewhere and wait. He did and got his sight back and had to change his name to Paul and Paul said that God told him to write most of the New Testament and make CHristianity what it is today and that Jesus is coming back to rescue people from satans kingdom which God will allow to rule for a thousand years or maybe after the seven year tribulation or before it, it doesn;'t matter as long as you are a believer in all these things then you are a CHristian. People who do not believe these things are bad people who want to sin. IF you want to know if

someone is a good CHristian just ask them if they believe these things, if they say yes then they might still go to Hell if their hearts are not right, but if they say no, then they probably will go to Hell because they are evil because they do not believe what a christian believes. People who do not believe this stuff will die and not live forever, they will be apart from God forever and they will gnash their teeth and burn in torment forever, until God throws them in the lake of fire with satan to be completely destroyed forever. So if you make it to heaven you'd better make sure you love God because you could be deceived just like satan was and then God would have to do all this over again to purge you from Heaven (if you should change your mind later) But people choose to go to Hell God does not send them there. They have a choice, beautiful, rainbow streets of gold and mansions OR stinking death darkness hell, fire, sulfur, murder satan hate annihilation! But believe it or not,

some people choose stinking death over mansions! Cause God gives them the choice and they still choose it! I guess if there were a third choice for people who didn't believe, but were good, but not so bad that they would need to be annihilated or burned - the Catholics have purgatory which is kinda temporary, but there's not much about that in the Bible, so we kinda assume that a lot of people are going to Hell to burn forever until they are annihilated with satan. and they choose to do that because those are the two choices God gave and christians believe that god is just, which kinda means fair, A christian does not fellowship with dark people. If people have not heard of Jesus then Christians can believe that they will go to Hell too because those people did not mneet the requirements that scripture gives for salvation, obviously, but there are also some scriptures that allow for some ignorance as long as the heart is right which only God knows, so maybe a lot more people are going

to slip through the cracks than some Christians realize - I don;t know, I;ve heard both sides, but I just don;t see how God would send a good heart to hell for an eternity of suffering for a few years of living on earth. BUt it doesn;t matter what I think because the Bible is the inerrant andperfect word of God and is superior to science, logic, philosophy, history or any facts. If anything comes against the Bible in any way at all it is automatically a lie from satan and wrong! That's all a Christian needs to know. This is a Christian.

You're off on quite a few points. I will not be able to correct them all in a short space, and I suggest you do some research before you try to explain the religion to anyone else.

Earth was not created to be a "holding cell" for Satan, but a paradise for humanity. Satan was disguised as a serpent; he isn't literally one. Many Christians do not believe that Genesis is a literal account of creation; quite a few believe it is more metaphorical, and some believe that God used chance and evolution over a period of millions of years.

In fact, the only thing that a Christian MUST believe is that God sent his son, or part of himself, depending on your interpretation, down to earth in human form to sacrifice himself for the sins of humanity. This is Jesus. Because Jesus was sinless, he overcame death, and can therefore grant immortality to those who follow his teachings.

I'm afraid that description was far too long.
A Christian is someone who believes that humanity is fallen and deteriorated, but through Christ Jesus has been saved from certain death, and its capacity for good restored.
The rest of the details are important, and it is certainly worth the time to study them and get it all straight in our heads, but it is not absolutely critical in that people can take their time in figuring these parts out.
