Why is it so hard for me to go of my ex fiance. She has already made it clear that she doesn't want to get back together, yet I can't help but keep hoping that something might happen. Is there something wrong with me?

no there is nothing wrong with you. I have had a hard time letting go of the love of my life too... it took me quite a while. It is normal. you can try to put your mind to other things as much as you can. that will truly help. it is not a solution, but you will get over her in the end. try to remember what you did before you met her... there's nothing wrong with you, you still have strong feelings for your ex and you can't change that.
you need to convince yourself to move on, she clearly doesn't want to get back together, and if you still wait around for her to come back you'll end up wasting a chunk of your life on a lost cause.
if you still need convincing you could talk to her about your recurring feelings and ask for her help, she may be willing to help you move on with your life.
don't let it control your life man, i wasted 8 years waiting for my ex to come back while she moved on and had a family, don't make the same mistake i did
