if you are trying to increase muscle mass you need to increase the amount of protein, carbohydrates and fats in the diet. increasing protein is only part of the puzzle. you need a sufficient carbohydrate intake to provide sufficient energy for training and normal daily functions so that the body can use the proteins for muscle building.

Whey Protein is commonly used by weight trainers including myself to assist in muscle growth. If you go to your local nutrition/supplement store they will most likely have some kind of Whey Protein product. They are all pretty much the same. I would recommend one that has a form of Creatine in it. Creatine Monohydrate is one of the most popular muscle building supplements. It has been around for about 12 years now and is safe to take (not a steroid).
Hope this helps, good luck.

try getting protein from your normal diet , if it's not enough you can add a protein powder like gnc's chocolate caramel , i drink it once or twice a day and may or may not have a protein bar depending on how much protein i need and my diet , or try slim fast low carb, or you can get egg whites' powder or protein bars , some are with whey protein others have soy protein.
there are many ways to get protein , whether from diet or protein bars or drinks , but the best way is to go to a dietitian and try to add protein to your diet. don't depend mainly on protein supplements .
Always drink lots and lots of water to avoid dehydration.
i just read the previous answer.
the person who answered before me gave you a really good answer , i think a dietitian will give you more details.
good luck!

2 days of ingesting protein shakes won't be able to make him better. He certainly has to artwork out alongside with ingesting the protein beverages, and its going to take a splash longer than 2 days.

yes, you can try whey powder from the health food stores, or any of the stuff at pharmacies.
I am underweight and wanted some muscle.
Yes protien powder + weight lifting is the best way to go.
Weight lift then drink your protien shake within 1/2 hour of weight lifting
and only do weights every 2nd day (muscle needs 1 day to rip, 1 day to repair)
