There is a very good reason why Jews don't embrace Islam and the prophet Muhammed. Muhammed was not Jewish. Muhammed was born in Mecca. He never lived in Israel. He made up his own religion. He made it similar to Judaism and Christianity, but the biggest difference is that the Bible and Torah both contain information about the nation of Israel. The Koran has none of that. Also, the Koran is nothing like the Torah. All of the laws given to Moses are not in the Koran. Neither Christians nor Jews honestly believe Muhammed was worshiping the God of Israel. Christians and Jews simply believe Muhammed was a crafty Arab. It's a total lie for any Muslim to say Islam is about the God of Israel. No Muslim can say that because almost all of them deny the existence of the nation of Israel.

Islam, like Christianity, accepts the Jewish Bible and is based largely upon Jewish ideas and traditions.

Mohammed, the founder of Islam, based many of his beliefs on the practices of local Jewish population in his native Mecca. For example, the Moslem practices of not eating pig, circumcision, daily prayer and fasting during the first month of the year were all culled directly from Judaism.

Since Islam was so similar to Judaism, Mohammed assumed the Jews would immediately accept this new religion. When the Jews did not live up to his expectations, he turned violently against them and many Jews died by the sword. (We are still suffering from this today; may there be peace soon.)

The real difference between the two religions, however, lies in their basis for belief. Judaism is based on the unique historical event of a divine revelation experienced by the entire nation.

Whereas Islam is based on the prophetic claims of a single individual who subsequently convinced others to follow his ways.

Talmudic tradition says that while Abraham's son Isaac became the forefather of the Jewish people, the Islamic line is descended from Abraham's other son Ishmael.

Jews do not believe that Mohammed is a true prophet.

Deuteronomy 17:15 You shall put (appoint) upon yourself a king that G-d will pick him; from amongst your brethren you shall appoint a king; you will not be able to give upon yourself a foreign man that is not your brother.
This verse, just a chapter behind the verse about the prophet is quite explicit. It uses the phrase "amongst (their/your) brethren" and then clarifies that a foreigner, which is definitely a non-Israelite, is not the Israelite's brother.

For further explicitness of the term foreigner, let's turn to Exodus 12.

Exodus 12:43 And G-d said to Moses and Aaron: This is the ordinance of the Passover offering, every son of a foreigner shall not eat of it.

Since we can now see that a foreigner does not take part of something as central as the Passover celebration, which is incumbant on all Israelite males when the Temple stands, we can see that a foreigner is simply a non-Israelite.

That being said, we have also shown that a foreigner is someone who is not from "amongst the brethren" of the Israelites.

This being said, it is an incredible leap of both faith and logic to assume that Mohammed the Ishmaelite is predicted by the Torah as coming as a new prophet of a new religion for the Jews.

One Post on here I find quite hilarious: Judaism is not mentioned in the Thora and Christianity is not mentioned in the Bible and therefore Islam must be true because it says so in the Quran.

I am sure ur looking for some fundamental disagreement. I guess that
1) Muslims think that muhammed is a prophet while Jew disagree
2) I heard ( and i am not sure) that muslims and jews have different ideas concerning the "judgment day". I guess jews believe in a happy 5000 years that will accompany the arrival of the Messiah. I don't think that Muslims have that.

However, Muslims and Jews believe in the same God and they do have very similar laws (the 10 commandments, not eating pork or drinking alcohol). Actually, Both islam and Judaism seem to be the religions of the Semite people.

NOT really sure man.

Judaism doesn't "hate" islam as a religion, any more than hating any other religion, (its not hate, its simply neutral disagreement)

it has a bunch of additional stuff added, like christianity does, that is on top of the jewish stuff.

but much of some aspects of islam promote anhiilation of Judaism as a whole. and theres only so much you can really do when someone would be satisfied to kill themself, if they brought you with them. (no, I am not saying that ALL muslims feel this way. I am saying that a portion do, and a large portion do not make serious gestures to disapprove of such opinions.)

its really more of a cultural thing than a religious thing.

The Jews believe that Messiah has not come yet. Christians believe Jesus is Messiah. The Muslims.......well...they are completely contrary to anything Christians or Jews believe. You cannot compare them.

Well, for starters, the devout Muslims are trying their best to murder all the Jews.

Iran is a Muslim terrorist state that has proclaimed that it wishes to destroy Israel. Nuclear weapons would give them the opportunity to do so

Iran is the biggest threat to the West today, and their military capability must be curbed by the West.

In addition, individual terrorists must be eliminated--if necessary by engaging them and killing them.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists today are Muslims.

The Hamas and other Muslim terrorist groups have been firing hundreds of Qassam missiles at southern Israel since the summer of 2005 (when Israel left Gaza), targeting innocent Israeli citizens.. One day they were "successful" and killed one Israeli woman and seriously injured two Israeli men.

Jihadists today invoke the Quran to justify the worst terrorist crimes. Throat slitting of infidels is mentioned in the Quran. Al-Mawardi (d. 1058), the prominent 11th century jurist quoted this verse, specifically, « When you encounter those who deny (the Truth) then strike (their) necks. » (Quran 47 :4), in his learned discussion of jihad. This ritual execution is also mentioned in other Muslim legal texts and in narratives of Christian and prominent Muslim historians. Today it is performed against infidels and recorded on videotape for the edification of Muslim audiences.

The oneness and universality of God's message requires that people accept all the messengers of God. Rejecting one of them amounts to rejecting them all. The Jews reject Jesus's mission and Muhammad's mission; the Christians reject Muhammad's mission; whereas the Muslims accept them all, but reject incorrect historical interpretations and human elements in these missions.
