Because males find mates by singing and the females hear them to find them, also males sing to defend territories against other males. These males hear them and stay away..therefore they must hear or they would not be able to find mates or defend territories. Alarm calls are also used to warn other birds of danger.

They have ear openings.
Also their songs are territorial warnings to others of their own kind and would be useless if they were deaf.

All birds have ears, it's just they don't look the same. If you dissect one then you will find them.

cos when you kill them and take them apart you can find their ears.

Cos it can hear the other one singing........no point in singing if there is no one to hear................
