Yes, it worked for me. I lost 30 pounds within 21/2 months. I drank a shake in the morning and for lunch. Then for dinner, I'd have a piece of protein along with a cup of vegetables and a slice of whole wheat bread. I allowed for three low cal snacks during the day, such as 2 pieces of fruit and a cup of diet jello. With the shakes it's important to drink lots of water because of the fiber content. The fiber can clog your system if you don't drink at least 8-10 8oz glasses of water daily. Also, buy the slimfast optima. It has special proteins in it that will keep hunger away for up to four hours. Good luck on the diet!

Yes, it works to carve your hunger for about 4 hours. But to lose weight, much of that depends on what you do. You need to count calories, and exercise. If you still continue to eat more than your dietary allowance in calories, and not burn any calories at all, no amount of slim fast would help. Subtracting 500 calories each day, either by decrease in high calorie food intake or exercise everyday would make you lose about 1 pound/week, roughly.

Chances are you're eating too fast. Try holding a conversation with a meal so you're not gulping down more than you'll want to feel full.

no. same with the chocolate bars........ they have the same basic nutrition as a candy bar. call it a glorified candy bar if u will . just a snickers with some vitamins injected into it... a good plan is to excercize regularly and eat right.. do not starve yourself.. you have to have nutrients to make the acids in your stomache burn the calories. eat well.. steamed or raw veggies.. drink lots and lots of water..... and make sure to strech before and after you excercise.. this does wonders for your muscles. excercizing without streching could pull your muscles...and after it helps get your muscles relaxed...
hope this helps!:) and good luck sweetie:)

Beware of "fat-free" or "zero trans fats" foods as you will be trading fats for huge variety of sugar or sodium.

it's more just to trick you into not being hungry....and they work for some people and not for others.
for me it makes me more hungry (i think that it's the sugar or something). i think keeping water and lower calarie sports drinks to sip on all the time work better for me to curb hunger(like gatorade, powerade, that new sobe stuff, etc).
the other thing that works better for me is reducing sugar and carbohydrates significantly (it's amazing how just a little bit of sugar can make me feel like i need more food than otherwise).

My mate lost loads of weight on them - I tried them and they didnt really work, the bad point is that you are still pretty hungry and they dont go well with aclohol - you get drunk VERY quickly (obviously as you have had nothing to eat)...

Use a vegetable bean dip such as hummus instead of ranch dressing or perhaps a fatty cream-based dip.
