You start both timers at the same time. When the 2 minute timer is done you put the egg in to cook. Take it out when the 5 minute timer is done.

Here's what you do, you put the 2 timers at the same time. After the 2 mins. is done you're left with 3 mins. in the hourglass. That's when you put the eggs, wait till the 5 minute hourglass timer is done and you cook the egg in 3 mins.

Start a pot of water boiling then flip both timers over when the 2 minute one runs out add the egg to the water and you will have 3 minutes left.

First. Take up rock climbing for a year.
Join a Mt Everest Expedition.

When at the top of the rock, boil frozen egg.
As a) it is frozen and
b) at 35,000 feet
The egg wiil take 7 minutes to boil.
So just use one timer then when it stops use the other.

Well...what I would do would be to use the 2-minute hourglass, and then use one minute of the 5-minute hourglass...and that's how I'd know.

Start them both at the same time and when the 2 has gone down put the egg on and take it out when the 5 is down. Easy!
