Coming to Newcastle shortly for first time where should I visit folks?

And is the bus station near the city centre, looking for B&B central any suggestions.

The Jury Inn and others are only a short walk from the bus station.Go to the quayside at night to lap up the atmosphere, especially at weekends. Visit the Sage, magnificent acoustics, the Baltic Art Gallery(if you are in to modern art-I'm not-at least not what they have there). Since you don't have transport, take a bus or train to Alnwick-lovely little town, and visit the Alnwick Gardens and Castle(Harry Potter). Take the Metro down to Tynemouth for a lovely walk and a couple of good pubs. If you want to shop, the world's your oyster as the City is good and you also have the Metro Centre. Enjoy yourself and come back.

For the B&B, I wasn't sure if you meant Newcastle -UK ( ie Newcastle Upon Tyne ), Newcastle under Lyme ( UK ) or Newcastle - Australia.

Anyway, here's some directory pages where you can sort prices, star rating and locations. Sometimes they can be far cheaper than normal B&B's with much better facilities - particularily at the last minute with the free inclusions.

i live in westend of city centre and believe me its a shithole. aye the bus station is near city centre. id say the quaysides ok.
and would recommend the tyne hotel for your b&b £10 a night lol jj theres loads of places near central station for kip. or you could get a box and join the vagrants if you cant find anywhere.
