we all know how you feel. ive got the same question. my husband and i are in the process of buying a house... so its like if we dont do it now, i doubt i will have the time or money to do it anytime soon. so we decided to just do it now. but everyone has there own situation to deal with. how long would it take you to save up the same amount? if it would only take a few months then i would say wait until you have enough for both. it is always good to have some extra cash for emergencies. especially!!! when your moving out on your own...

Hate to say it but living on your own comes first. Get that under way and get settled and work towards saving a bit of money weekly. try and cut down on something that you really like, maybe a drink a week and put it aside in a special place marked Tattoo and work towrds getting the taatoo. You can always save to get it. Get your life in hand first, then worry about the tattook it's some thing you can live without for awhile, but rent is not.

what do you mean by "backup money"? why wouldn't you get it later? why don't you save a set amount of money for three or four months and then get the tattoo? it's what i have been doing since the beginning of february so i can get tattooed at the convention in a few weeks. i have been cutting back on things like buying new clothes that i totally don't need and stuff and tadaaa! i will have enough money to get three hours of tattoo work done.

Ah yes, there isn't a fantasy section but there is poetry. Cute as a bit of verse, but I'm way too old and happily married to enjoy the content in more than a technical sense. Thank you for sharing.

Living on your own if way more expensive than one would think. If the price of a tattoo is all you have for back up money, you need lots more. You have to prioritize which is more important to you. We can't make that decision for you.

Keep the money.
But go round local studios and see if they have apprentices. They usually work for free in their first few months and sometimes they can be very talented. Check out some of their work and if you feel they are competant enough give them your design. That way you get both.

go for it!! you'll get through financially even if it is a bit of a muddle. You want the ta2 and you will derive much pleasure from it, more than you will from havin a bit of "just incase" cash. Go for it, you never know what 2moro will bring, so dont live with "what ifs"

The tattoo should wait....put a pic up of your design where you will see it everyday and if it is so awesome then get it in six months....
