I don't know if 'gay' happens from birth or if it is an unconscience decision or if it just is, but i don't understand how you can make gay marriages illeagal yet have no ethic reasons behind it, there is religion. which yes, i will give you that american was started on christian faith, that it is said to be a christian country. but why is it okay to suddenly pull that string to take away people who are in love's right to be married. I mean, if they can't get married, they will still be with each other, and thus sovling what, nothing but not giving them a license to claim marriage. Which, i guess in saying that can say that the only thing we've taken away is their marriage license because i believe when you're married it's more a decision in your heart, the paper makes it leagle is all. So in turn they can still be together, but what is the point of it? Does it really hurt people to let other people get married just because they are the same sex.

The world is a messed up place, and people aren't perfect. Ethically, there are a lot of worse things in the world than letting homosexuals form stable relationships.

Those religious people who truly think it is a sin against God should actually think for a moment what that means; that is, it's God's problem to deal with, not ours. As far as we need to be concerned, gay people should be allowed to find happiness as best they can. We have too many other problems to deal with to obsess one way or another about homosexuals.

I am 100% on your side. I've so many Gay/Lesbian who are begging for the answer to that very same question. I'm straight but find my gay friends so much more fun to be around. When you need a friend, they'll be the first person there. Legal same sex marriages are right around the corner. Being able to use each others medical insurance, filing with the IRS, & many other married benefits denied for being gay. Everyone needs to keep pushing. Find every Pro-Gay rally near you & attend. The squeeky wheel always gets the grease.

This question could be answered many ways and be correct. The political implications. The expense to those to whom it is an abomination (use of their tax money to promote the life-style). The pros and cons to the educational system. The health questions which are raised. In my opinion, does it really hurt. Yes for all of the above reasons and more. But my judgement comes from my basic Christian belief which I will not comprimise.
