i just got a 2-yr old female boxer from a friend who is moving and unfortunately cant bring the dog w/ him. she's been at home for 2 days already. the bad news is i have 2 other dogs already (also female and cross breeds) and they keep on fighting with the new settler. now they are on separate parts of the house since they always bark and fight. i know dogs are territorial, but long will this last? is there anything i can do to make them get along with each other?

Ceaser Milan's method DOES work ! I have used it myself . I brought a 2 year old female boxer into my house with my other two adult female boxers and 2 males. The new female was aggressive at first but after I established I was the leader of the pack and she was not . I made her submit to me and my other dogs and she quickly fell in line. People that say not to use his method have obviously never used it or they would see how well it works. Why would people be negative about his work when he has saved the lives of so many dogs that would have been put down for aggression had he not stepped in and taught them what to do. Please at least look into his book or watch his show , they have it on DVD too, before you decide against it. Good luck.

Give them time. They should have been introduced in a neutral place, not anybodies territory.
Also, keep them separated, but somewhere they can sniff each other.

Are your females all spayed, that can help. I'd recommend a book written by a PhD behaviorist, Dr. Patricia McConnell. It is called "Feeling Outnumbered: How to manage and enjoy your multi-dog household". You can find it on Amazon.com or Dogwise.com

Avoid the so-called Dog whisperer like the plague he is. His explanations for dog behavior are laughable to people who really study dogs and his solutions are the same old discredited crap that is barely disguised abuse.

It may be that they will never get on. Bitches are very difficult to keep together once they have taken a dislike to each other. I would suggest constantly changing the bedding between each group so they get used to the smell. Take them out (with help) to a neutral place and let them slowly get together and sniff each other on leads and supervised.
You may need to get in professional help.
