Ok so I was driving at night at about 12 o clock on the way to my friends house and I noticed a cop was following me and I didn't really mind I kept going and then I turned a corner and i turned my lights off turned 1 more corner and pulled over in front of my friends hosue and the cop pulled up behind me with his lights on and wrote me up a ticket for driving at night wiht my ligts off. I drove about a total of 20 feet with my lights off. Is their a way to argue this ticket. Can any body help me find like a lupole or someway where I don't get in trouble with this ticket.

No, you can't get out of it. You turned your lights off and turned a corner. If someone had been approaching the same corner coming towards you, then you may have hit head on. Your headlights need to be on when the car is in motion at night. Pay the ticket.

You already admitted you committed the offense. Now the next step is to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for this very minor infraction. Pay the ticket and move on with your life. You can appeal the citation and give the cop four hours of overtime, miss a day of work or school (that is if you do either), and you’ll probably be found responsible; and be ordered to pay the citation anyways. There are no loop holes.

You shouldn't have turned your lights off in the first place, especially since you knew a cop was following you! Just pay the ticket and think of it as a learning experience.

No, pay the fine and don't do it again.

Why would you turn your lights off when you were not at your destination.

You said you turned your lights off and then turned another corner.

What were you thinking? Why didn't you wait until you had stopped before you turned your lights off? It just doesn't make sense.

Suck it up dude, and pay the fine.
You messed up and you know it.
Don't try to run form the POLICE next time.

We all learn the hard way or the easy way.

if he was following you, how could he tell your headlights were off? second, what idiot drives without his headlights on in the first place. you deserve a ticket for your own carelessness.

Even a blonde would not do that.
But if she did she wouldn't get out of it either..
