I am going to be PCS(ing) there in JAN '08 and am wondering where the best housing is around that area. Im just looking for a 1-2 bedroom apartment. Trying to get a safe, easy vehicle commute neighborhood.

I am from Montgomery County, MD , born & raised. There are some seedy sections of town in the vicinity, but the crime rate here in Dallas where I reside now is worse!!

There is a fairly abundant number of apartments & small homes in the areas of Silver Spring & Takoma Park, Maryland. Both of which are directly adjacent to the DC line & both have Metro stations too. If you chose you could take the "train" downtown.

The Metro system is world class & very clean in the greater DC, MD, VA area.

Very rough area of town. You'll have to commute in order to find a nice area...

Request a sponsor, they should be able to help you find a place...
