it is actually 6236 but if the uncounted bismillah-hir-rahmaan-nir-raheem's are added it will be 6347.

The total number of Quran Verses which are 6,236 not 6666. How this came into my mind to verify or reconfirm the total number of Quran's ayaat. This has started after received a Quran Quiz news letter whereby along with many other Q&As it has been asked that how many ayaats are in the Quran and the answer 6666 was highlighted. At that time i have recalled that where i have listened akin sound like 6666. So i have said yes i have seen the movie which was less entertaining but more christian oriented by product Omen and then sixth day and lost souls. In christianity the number 666 is a sign of satan or devil.

So why it has been generally believed in that the total number of Quran ayats are 6666 instead of 6236 and why this kind of smelly info multiplies around. So my dears their is a reason for such advertisement, being a human we can't over look the impact of psychology, we consciously or without attention perceived things and remembered those mostly in our minds throughout our lives. This is a era of psychological gimmicks and we all are witnessing it. One nation weakens the others via medium of media, books, movies etc etc, under the banner of entertainment and education, by waging psychological war thou they are showing or telling false elements but the aim is to damage other's interest. I am sure that by engaging you in this semi lengthy detail will able to defrost the wicked intentions of men.

Neither. It's 6346. It's a sience thing that is very confusing to me, but if you look it up as "total number verses in Quran" you'll find the mathematical miracle of it.
