since at a christian's funeral they all sob and moan and weep because their loved one went to heaven?

I have actually been to a funeral of a Non-Christian where some the Christians took the opportunity to gloat about unbelievers roasting in Hell. Needless to say I got into a fist fight with the fundies.

I've never been to an atheists funeral. If I did, I wouldn't laugh. There is nothing funny about going to hell. I wouldn't even bring it up. What would be the point? It would be a waste of time. That persons life would be over. There would be no reason to laugh or talk about anything like that.
Not all Christians sob and moan and weep. Some don't because Heaven is a much better place to be than earth. So they use the funeral as a way to celebrate.
If they do cry, it isn't because the person went to heaven. It's because they will miss that person. I thought that was obvious.

Buddhist: look at the walls and worry about our foot odor
Taoist: as with Buddhist, but with more interest in the walls
Muslim: check watch and wonder when's lunch
Subud: wait outside the hall and wonder what they're doing in there
Satanist: don't know, we never get invited

Of course I don't 'cackle' at an atheist's funeral.I'm just incredibly sad for them.
I suppose the reason why people cry at Christian's funerals,is because even though you knopw they're in a better place,you are still going to miss them being near you.

Let me put it this way . I am a Christian and I am opposed to violence. But I hope Lokasenna whuped "em good.
Please tell me you really didn't mean to sound critical of people who cry when they lose a loved one. Jesus wept. Sometimes there is a time to weep.

Some fundies picket funerals with insulting signs when they feel that the dead person or his family are not god worthy.
A very christian attitude indeed...

They would never personally attend one...but I heard they do go through the Sunday paper obituaries after church and do something similar.

a Christian's, because they loved someone and will miss them...
an atheist, because they loved them and will miss them forever
