I'm 40 years old and my 20 year old girlfriends keeps hinting that I ask her to marry me. I've never been married, have no kids, and I'm pretty good looking for my age, if I do say so myself. But the problem is that I'm worried about her being married to an old man in 20 years, but at the same time I don't want to break her heart. What do you think?

For the life of me, I dont understand wot makes some people tick. U dont have a problem having an affair with her but cant decide if u should marry her? First , what's the reason u have never been married? To me , the problem seems 2 be u and not the girl. Tomorrow its going 2 be someone else and once again u will try 2 find excuses for not commiting 2 her...AND the biggest debauchery will be that u will always try 2 convince urself and the woman that u are turning her down for her sake!

If the two of you are truly in love, age shouldn't matter. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic, but age isn't a big deal to me. If the love is genuine, 20 years from now she'll still be just as in love with you as she is now. But if you're that worried about it, flat out ask her how she thinks she'll feel in 20 years when she's 40 and you're 60. Tell her all your apprehensions and listen to what she has to say. She may just surprise you.

depends if you love her or not if you do then marry her have a family, if you don't let her down now so she can meet some one else she is obviously ready for a family, and if she didn't want to be with you and they age difference doesn't worry her then get married you could live to 100

Well forget the fact that you're old enough to be her dad, you should enjoy it while you can. Some girls perfer older men for many reasons, just know that you're not getting any younger.
