Your operating system is defective. I recommend replacing
it with one of:

http://www.debian.org

First things first, the BIOS has antivirus settings for some but really depends on what kind of BIOS you may have. What you can try for is to format your hard drive. But don't just format your hard drive. Backup some important stuff that you may need for eiher your work or something else. Then format the whole drive and put the windows xp in the cd-drive and follow the following instuctions to a new definite windows xp!

antivirus processes dont even load till the bios step is done. So it has nothing to do with that, your key simply is i nvalid or you have a defective disk.
Try calling tech support for a new disk, exchanging the disk, or simply shelling out the money for a new os disk. Thats really all the legal options you have.

depends on what pc u have. most pcs to get into bios boot and push the delete key a few times, compaq pcs, f10 key, others are f2 key. then go through advanced section and simply disable the antivirus option, save changes and boot to the xp cd.

your antivirus is software that requires an OS to run on....

so if you haven't got windows installed then how can your antivirus be stopping it.
if you reinstall from scratch (formatting etc) then you should not have a problem, unless your product key is non genuine.
