hi , I presume yr comp is slow? I have had same prob, I use the one one the comp, in the PROGRAM/ accesories/ system tools, defragment and the disk clean up, it speeds it up some. Then i check in control panel/ add/ remove programs, and get rid of any programs that are not used any more, (my kids add all sorts of stuff and never use it), that helps a little too.
Good luck

I've been using Windows CleanUp for years and it works really well. You can look at it here:

Don't forget that you have a Disc Cleanup and Defragmentor within Windows XP.
Also helps to clean out all your history and cookies from time to time

adaware is free and safe to use, just type adaware then download, then scan and remove any corrupt or bad files. to defrag you should be able to do that in your own device manager,
