"Pennies" is one of 2 plural forms of the word "penny", the other being "pence". Pence is usually the form used in quoting prices - for example: this chocolate bar costs 50 pence, whilst pennies is used to denote actual coins: I found a couple of loose pennies in my pocket. Personally I deplore a growing tendency in the UK to use the word "pence" in all contexts, including the singular!!!

Penis is the male organ.

Pennies rhymes with "Benny's" whilst "penis" rhymes with "mean (h)iss"

ok, there's a big difference in meaning, so it can be embarrassing to mix these up.

fortunately, the pronunciation difference between the two is very distinct, so if you say them right you won't mix them up.

Penis is pronounced with a long "ee" sound in the first syllable, a short "i" sound in the second syllable and the s is not voiced, so it is a hard "ss" sound--so pronounce it like "peeniss" . It should sound a little bit like "peanuts" if you say it right.

Penny is 1/100 of a pound in Britain, or slang for a one-cent coin in America. In Britain the plural is "pence" but in America the plural is "pennies". It's also an obsolete measurement of weight abbreviated "d" that is now only used for nails. This is pronounced with a short "è"sound in the first syllable, a long "ee" sound in the second syllable and the final s is voiced, like a "z" sound. Pronounce it "pènneez".

Good joke within your question:
penis hasn't got an "n"-"e"
(penis hasn't gotten any!) LOL I crack myself up!

Penis, pronounced (pee-niss) is the male sexual/reproductive organ......Pennies (pen-eez) is the plural of penny: a coin, equal to the value of 1 cent.
