Hi Nette, My dogs like beans, but it's just like a snack for them. Some dogs will get an upset tummy from beans. All mind do is lets stinky farts. I would cook minute rice and scramble 2 eggs and mix together when the rice is done. Dogs like this and it will not upset their tummys. A Friend.

Any food in a can or tin or even in a bottle are fully cooked and do not need to be heated to be eaten. Some baked beans have a bit too much fat on them, so skim that off before eating the beans. If you decide you like them better hot or cold is up to you! I love Campbells original Pork n Beans straight from the can!!! The same with canned tomatoes!

NO!
Dogs will eat anything, including things that aren't good for them. If you don't know the dog well enough to know where its food is, you don't know him well enough to give him something that might kill him. THe dog can have a sensitive stomach, or allergies. My dog has almost died twice because of stuff he has eaten (stolen and found outside), he gets diarrhea and vomits until he gets dehydrated to the point of needing IV at the vet's for a full day. Particularly bigger dogs can easily get bloat, a potentially fatal condition where the intestines twist. If it's just for a night, give him some cooked white rice (a cup or two, depending on size). Maybe you can find some turkey meat or chicken meat (no spices, no salt) to throw in there. You can dry some white bread in the oven real quick, (again, consider size - a bigger (50lbs +) can easily take a slice or two, smaller dogs only a half)
If you really can't find anything (have you checked the garage, laundry room and kitchen area for a bag of doog food, or probably, a large container of some sort where they keep dry dog food? If you go searching a little bit, the dog might very well help you find his own food.)
If you are dog sitting, it seems ridiculous that you have not been made aware of where food for the animal is. Please, don't give the dog beans, look around for his own food, go for one of the alternatives above, or even go to the gas station, they often have some sort of canned dog food.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU1Xp
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Oh, reading this just made my night! LOL! I definately dont give my dogs beans, they dont need any help in the gas area. If you are only looking after the dog for a little while it is probably just trying its luck on you. Make sure it has water and dry food and that is plenty. Mine only get wet food once a day in the evening. I'm sure the owners would have told you if it needed extra food.

Dogs eat anything. If it's hungry, feed it the beans, it won't hurt it or anything The worst that will happen is it may get the squirts. The parents should have told you where the dog food was before they left so that's not your problem.

yes you can feed the dogs beans but you'll give it gas. Why don't you look and see if it has dog food or go get some for the dog people food isn't really good for dog's.

You sure there's nothing else around?
How about scrambled eggs? cereal?
Just remember one thing though:
"beans, beans, won't make a dog smart...
but the more they eat, the more they'll fart!"
