Stretch over each leg, roll your ankels in circles a few times in each direction and then walk for for a few minutes, leading into a brisk walk for 5 minutes or so, then go in to your jog. Be sure you warm down too. Just reverse the process, jogging into a brisk walk, then a slower walk for a few minutes, followed by some light stretching. It really does make a difference in how your body feels. You won't be as sore and you're not as likely to get injured. Jumping rope is great exercise, but same principles apply. After stretching, start slowly and work up speed.
That's great you're exercising! Good for you!

Everyone should stretch their muscles when awaking after a sleep - even just to start your daily routine. Stretching is one of the most healthy/beneficial things you can do for your body - don't skip the warmup!! And yes, any time you are going to run/jog, you should always start at a slower (walk) pace before kicking into a sprint.

Jumping rope should not be the first thing you do, but after stretching it will help in getting your heart pumping a bit faster...........

Before a jog? When I jogged a brief rather light trot for 2 minutes then increase to run as normal. Either that or I just walked to the area I wanted to jog.

Warming up is something you need to really do before something is not cardio. Before lifting weights I do 15 min cardio.

Slowly move your muscles first by stretching. You don't need to jump rope. As you walk outside and your speed gradually increases, you'll have a better effect than jumping rope and tiring yourself out too soon to thoroughly enjoy your jog.

jogging is best warm up exercise .
but you should walk as quick as possible (not run) first after that you walk more than your normal walking.
