It depends on how old you are.
If you're in the first two years of high school, then I advise you to just try to do the best you can in your classes and try to decide which of those you enjoy best.
If you're in your last two years of high school, try to figure out what kind of college you want to go to (not necessarily what you want to do in college, but whether you want small or large, rural/suburban/urban)
If you're in college already I recommend that you take a broad spectrum of classes (usually you're required to do this for general education requirements anyway) and see if there's anything that strikes your fancy.
Most colleges don't require that you declare a major on your first day, and the average college student switches something like 6 times.
Try not to get too stressed.

Don't think about a career as something you will be doing for the rest of your life. Most adults change careers (not jobs) approximately 10 times throughout their life. So pick something you're interested in now that could help you do something else in the future. Most importanty... DON'T STRESS.
I for one, an currently trying to become a writer, therefore first I am trying to become a publisher. If I become a publisher, I will know a lot of other publishers and it will be easier to get published myself.
GOOD LUCK

Growing up people hear about a few professions to get into--like doctor, lawyer, vet, cop, etc. The thing is, there are thousands of other professions that you've never heard about. Do what you enjoy and you will eventually fall into one of these that you've never heard of and you will find it to be a completely satisfying and rewarding way to spend your life.
For me, though? I think there are people who find their fulfillment through being with a spouse. For these people, they can work their eight hours at anything and come home to the person that they love. Don't make your home a place you just sleep, put up pictures and sleep next to the person that you love and it won't matter what you do to make money, because you will be making money to support the life that you truly love...

you could always get a job doing something that you wont find too boring while you decide - then go study for your dream career when you've worked out what it is! also you don't need to stick with one career for the rest of your life. I changed my job completely 3 yrs ago and am doing a part time uni course also and i'm nearly 40!

He ought to very somewhat be became off by potential of that and loose his activity in you. What I propose you do is get to be attentive to him extra advantageous, discover out what he likes and does not like. Open up and communicate with him. in case you do not, then think of roughly what you have missed out on. sturdy success.

learn as much as you can so that you know more and you know about more so you have a better idea of what you are choosing and what you are rejecting.
