Her puppies are only a week old and need her milk still. We are willing to bottle feed but we would like to see if we can get her to start producing on her own. Please help us

You should try applying hot packs to her tummy for about 10 minutes before putting puppies on to nurse. make them just a little warmer than you would want on your own skin, as dogs are 2-3 degrees warmer than humans.(a microwaved slightly damp towel will do) ..My vet recommended to feed boiled carrots with dog food to stimulate milk production for large litters... I don't know that it made a difference, but my moms produced plenty of milk..
You can also give her warmed puppy formula to drink.
If you can't get her producing, you will find these website helpful for raising the puppies.

Hi Bobbye, You need to get ahold of your vet A.S.A.P. He can tell you if there is something that can help mama. If not be ready to get less sleep for awhile until the puppies can eat on their own. You will have to bottle feed the pups every 2 hours. On the 2 hours time until they are bigger and eating on their own. I have had to do this and it is a big job. But the rewards were well worth it. Good Luck And Be Patient. Those babies will be depending on you to KEEP them alive if the vet cannot help mama. A Friend.

Check with your veterinarian. There are vitamins and such you can start giving the mother dog before the puppies are born and
possibly giving them now would do some good.
