Love is commitment! You may not always FEEL like loving someone...but love is the deep sense of knowing that, no matter what, this is a person worth the relationship. Love involves a sense of peace with who you are and who the person is you're loving. Whenever I wonder if I am loving someone as a should be...I line it up to the Bible's definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13. It says...love is patient, kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, rude, self-seeking, or easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong. love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres...love never fails! I believe that no one has this perfect love except Jesus because we all fail at points of this definiation...but ever bit of effort we put into love is another step closer to loving someone intimately, purely, and perfectly!!

Love is there when all other things have faded away. Strip away their good looks, their money, their nice house, and all things material. Forget about the great sex or how good he/she makes you feel. Love realizes that you want to make them feel good. You want to be there with them when they are old and wrinkly. You're not afraid to claim them as your own, even if you risk criticism.
However, love is too general a term. There are at least three different kinds: eros, philia, and agape. You can love someone romantically, friendly, or wholly without quesiton.

Love is total infatuation, cant stop thinking about someone, and they have to be the same 2 U. You wanna be there for them,
you worry about them, think about them, wanna do stuff with them, but for a good relationship you also need good sex.
So a bit of Lust should be mixed in.

Love is when you deeply care for someone, to the point where you feel like you would do anything for them, and if any tragedy befalls them a piece of your heart dies along with them. I feel this is true among romantic relationships, friendships, and family.

love to me is when a person feels like they want to be with that person for the rest of their lives and feel like that is the one single person in the world that they want to devote all their time to.

Only way I could describe it when I was younger was, "It's an itch that you just can't scratch."
