Overall, whether a woman is working out or not I'd say be subtle [which means probably pass on the thumbs up] and don't come off like a sleaze, and you can check her out. What she doesn't know can't hurt her. And some women might get angry about me saying this but I'm female and I enjoy checking out guys [and occasionally women too], so it would be hypocritical to say you aren't allowed to look. After all, women are everywhere; you can't be expected to spend your life blindfolded to keep from accidentally seeing them now and again. But keep in mind that outright ogling, panting like a dog, and giving high fives are NOT the same as discrete glances.

YES, dude it is because i'm sure she didn't go to work out to get the attention there, and it made you kinda look stupid if she saw you give the guys a thumbs up. Ogling and taking a look is two totally different things. What if it was your girl?

women usually find it offensive,but then again there are always those exceptions. nowadays some gyms have actually created women only sections- to keep the oglers out
