Congratulations on making the decision to have a healthier lifestyle! It is very difficult to make a evaluation on you with only this little bit of information.. Here is my suggestion...

You need to get you body fat checked. Don't go by BMI.. Get the body fat checked by the caliper pinch method..
You should shoot for 15% or less

Who is putting together you new program? Hire a professional to make a exercise and nutrition program for you. This will be well worth the money you spend!

What ever you do, make sure this new program is something that you will be able to keep up! Make this a lifestyle change, not just a temporary fix.

Your parents care about you and they don't want to see you unhappy. Sometimes they just don't understand or know what to say!

Good Luck

Kind of depends on your muscle. 190 or 200 would be good but you should actually just forget about the numbers on the scale and shoot for pant size or even just feeling better. Scales are not very good for males. I am about 6 foot tall and 200 pounds but I still have a gut and I am kind of unsatisfied with myself but that is because I don't feel as good as I should.

Good for you, keep to a healthy diet and exercise properly, sometimes parents don't like to hurt their kids feelings and be overprotective, if you are uncomfortable with your weight, now is the time to do something about it, at your age you will easily shed excess pounds, sorry I'm not sure what your ideal weight should be, but good luck anyway.

that's a little overweight, but for your height it's not too bad. i would get your waist down to 35 inches if you aren't there already. bmi calculators don't always factor in the muscles you have.

total bodyweight is insignificant it's how much body fat you have that determines if one is "fat" or not...

get your body fat checked. at 18 you shouldn't have more than 16% body fat maximum. closer 10% if you want a visible 6-pack with out flexing.
