This is actually not a religious/spiritual question but something that comes under the heading of "alternative/complementary medicine"

I would recommend lavendar oil for relaxation based on my reading of aromatherapy. You can put it on a cloth near your nose even if you decide not to use it directly on your skin. (Something you may not want to do without a patch test for allergies, even though lavendar oil usually does not cause reactions in most people)

Traditionally people will suggest lavender, rose, ylang ylang, but I would suggest that you ask for testing the phials, and choose the one which appeals best to you. We all are diferent, and at different times have different needs, even in relation to relaxation or meditation.

By the way, I am not a Wiccan or Pagan, and I wonder why you may believe that the above knowldge may be (only) their domain? Aromatherapy is something that any sensitive and, or intelligent person may understand and appreciate.

For aromatherapy, I love vanilla, chocolate, lavender, and sage.
I find them intensely relaxing.

Then again, these are also some of the things I put in my food. Maybe they're relaxing because am an emotional eater? :-)
