I'm 16 and interested in becoming a criminal defense attorney. Because I have panic/anxiety disorder, I can't go to regular school, but I'm smarter than your average teen :) Where can I start learning about law independently to figure out if this is what I want to do for sure.

B.t.w. please don't just put "the library", I know that. Specific books would help

Thanks!

if you don't go to school how can you be smarter than an average teen?

I said I didn't go to regular school, that doesn't mean I'm not educated. Ever heard of "alternative programs"? I doubt they offer law, though. Time to bust out the prozac, right?

how are you going to deal with being in a courtroom if you can't handle school?

you may be able to alleviate your anxiety with diet and finess/posture modification/stress reduction. i would gladly spend a little time helping; just email me about what you eat usually, and describe your posture and fitness level briefly and I'll give it a shot. worth a shot, since it's free.

if you don't go to school how can you be smarter than an average teen. according to you how smart/dumb is an average teen? criminal defense attorney huh. in the law field that is counted as a bum. if you would be interested in practicing entertainment, international, business law that is counted as prestigious. but family law and criminal law is counted as the bum battles of the legal system.
