It was small and it grew a bit, don't know how it happened. Oh it's a JVC model, flat screen, on a swivel stand.

Well....

If it's a Picture tube Flat Screen and not a projection unit, you may have "swiveled it" after power up....the earth's magnetic field can affect the corners of any flat screen.

Yes, if you moved a speaker nearby, it will affect it also.....

So, for starters, move the TV into position where you'll be watching it, keep any speakers about a foot or two away, THEN power it up.....the demagnetizer will activate upon power up and neutralize any outside fields.....

Do you still have the dark area??
IF SO, then your yoke may have loosened up, and would require a TV technician to do a PURITY alignment. That's just adjusting the yoke UP/Down/Left/Right/In/Out.....

Then locking it into position.....

Do you have another piece of electronic equipment nearby? Sometimes the magnetism of the two can do that.

Something has fallen inside or the mirror assembly has shifted.call for serviceif not comfortable opening back and looking
