Sorry to have to tell you this, but she was politely trying to tell you that she is NOT interested in dating you. If she was really "into" you, she would have taken the bait months ago and not ever mentioned liking "another guy".
I think she was trying to help you "save face" instead of just stone cold rejecting you outright.
