Think about it...no stealing...no murder...no husbands cheating on their wives and vice versa...no greed...no lies. If only those commandments were kept, then this world would be a paradise.

While keeping the 10 commandments would be a great idea, and yes the world would be a better place by far. The only problem is, what about the rest of the Old Testament law?

Which one. The Jewish, the Catholic, the Protestant, the Samarian, or the Islam version? If biblical, which one, Deutoronomy or Exodus? Which interpretation - virtually every religion re-interprets them as they see fit (see wikipedia reference). Adultery, for example, was originally defined as a single person cheating with a married person, but most religions have re-interpreted this as fornication and other sexual conduct.

Doesn't matter, the answer is no. If you read the ACTUAL WORDING to the ten commandments, they purport an unforgiving God (for Idol Worship and Blasphemy), slavery (Covet thy neighbors slave, slaves to rest on sabbath), Sexism (can't covet the wife, what about the hubby?), and exclusion (First commandment clearly shows it was written only for the Jewish tribes that escaped from Egypt).

If given a choice, I'd select Ben Franklin's list for moral perfection.

The 10 Commandments will be hard enough to keep, but the world would be a paradise.

WHAT DOES ALL THE LAWS HANG ON?

Matt.22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great
commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Rom.13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another
hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not
kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet;
and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his
neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

its impossible to do, but there is no other list to add. All sin derives from the original 10 commandments if you think about it
