The Bible teaches harmony and fellowship between EVERYONE! We don't always adhere to that, but that is really more human nature, I think. But, we should all work to be more understanding and open-minded, that's really about it.

The Bible teaches love - for God and for all people. "Church"es are made up of people - who get things wrong sometimes and have made race an issue at different places over the years. But most churches today are not segregated. As a matter of fact, I have never been to a church that is segregated and I've visited about 20 churches in the past 5 years. So this question should be asked to the elders of the church that is segregated!
Be blessed!

The Bible does not promote tension between races. There are many acocunts in the Bible of people inter-marrying.
I have never observed segregation in churches. All the churches I know have a variety of people from different ethnicities and countries.

The Bible doesn't really address racism or segregation because it says that the greatest commandment is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, all your mind and with all your strength" but an equal commandment is to "love your neighbor" as yourself. It doesn't say love the neighbor of the same color. The reason churches are segregated has to do with the environments they grew up in, different cultures, and different praise and worship styles...really that's all it comes down to.

You have a great point. You should start a movement to create bussing between churches. Don't allow people to go to the neighborhood churches where they are comfortable, force them to go to a church far away filled with people that are different. It's God's Will.

It's nothing to do with race. It's just politics. Some people want it their way, when they can't have it their way, they set up shop somewhere else. Just like Henry VIII, who brought about the Anglican Church so he could divorce his wives and marry soemone who would give him a male heir to the throne.
Fat lot of good that did.

The separations of the churches are the ideas of man, not of God. The Bible says that the true church, the body of believers are to be of one accord. We are not because of our own decisions, not those of God.
