It varies from individual to individual. It can take half an hour for some people. It can a year for others. Separate the learning tasks. There are two learning tasks: One is how to operate and maneuver the vehicle. The other is safely negotiating traffic and speeds and turning and parking and such. First, learn how to operate the vehicle until you are extremely comfortable with that, like in a driveway or empty large parking lot. Then, venture out on roads with very little traffic. Build up the intensity of traffic and speeds gradually. It can be done all in one weekend fairly easily. Then, it's practice, practice, practice.

The DMV want's 100 hours of driving 90 hours of day driving and 10 hours of night driving and surely after that you will know how to drive hope this helps and also driving is an every day learning experience.

I can teach you how to drive in less than an hour. Becoming a COMPETENT driver will take about 20-30 years, depending on how long it takes you to become mature.
