He scheduled to fight the winner of the Mirko Cro Cop vs Gabriel Gonzaga fight. That fight that takes place at UFC 70 in Manchester, England on April 21st. It was announced by Dana White, president of the UFC, when they had the UFC 70 press conference couple weeks back.
Btw, I'm still speechless, shocked but so very happy that Randy Couture beat Tim Sylvia to become a 3 time UFC heavyweight champion. Unbelieveable!

First off, Randy clearly out classed Sylvia. I can't believe there was talk that Tim could beat Randy!!! Dana is saving the big fight of Couture VS Crocop. Sorry, but Randy gets dominated and KO in that one....

He will fight Cro Cop if he wins at UFC 70. Cro Cop of course can be knocked out, he has a tendency to drop his hands when he is standing up. A record of 17-4-2 isnt half bad I guess, of course if he goes up against the top 3-5 heavyweights I think he will get his clock cleaned.

Technically he's scheduled to fight Cro Cop IF he wins at UFC 70 in England which should happen but every fighter has a punchers chance to shock the world. Now having said technically, Randy has never backed down from a challenge ever in his career but there's a big difference between Sylvia & Cro Cop & I'm not refering to hieght & weight. I've been saying since his debut fight against Cabbage that Sylvia is nothing special. His only claim to fame is that he has the longest reach advantage & weight in the heavyweight division & exploits that ever fight he's had. Smaller oponents with a better skill set has defeated him in the past but as of late he's gone to a "Lennox Lewis" style approach of fighting. Lennox was known for keeping his opponents at bay and never engaging to win his fights but to do enough to win decisions. BAMM! Who does that remind of you in MMA??? Now having said all that, Cro Cop has to be considered the best skilled fighter in the heavyweight division with Andrei Arlovski in a close second. UFC's problem for years has been that there's no real talent in the heavyweight division which is why they pursued Cro Cop so badly & built up Heath Herring, which I promiss I won't go there on, to bring in much needed talent into that division. Now the current champion is a proven winner no doubt, but I'd rather bet the house on Mirko's striking or Andrei's explosiveness over Couture any day of the week. Out of pride Randy will face one of these 2 opponents with a rematch clause with Tim Sylvia in the wings, will he win? Agianst Sylvia yes, against Cro Cop or Arlovski ..... I highly doubt it!

He's probably gonna fight Mirko Crocop when he wins his next fight. I think Couture is definately going to lose that fight. Crocop isn't the stiff fighter Tim Sylvia is. Crocop has range with that vicious left kick. Couture is gonna have alot of work.

It will be Cro Cop, I'm happy for Randy, but........Mirco is going to kick his head off. That was a good PPV.......Franklin and Hughes were great, but the main event was the best. Tym (Fat Boy) Silvia needs to get back on the steroids............man is he out of shape. Thanks
