Any of these symptoms? If not, could be generalized anxiety disorder.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cognitive_b... worked best for me. I suffered from social anxiety for over 15 years. I've tried meds, individual therapy, and group therapy and studied psychology for 10 years, as a profession, but also with the hope to cure myself.
Depending on your comfort level, you could go to a psychologist that practices CBT and specializes in anxiety disorders, seek a group therapy, or create one. Usually those that do attend the group therapy are a bit more high functioning because as you know, it can be difficult to speak in a group.
Another idea is to see if there are any local research studies being conducted that you could participate in.
The program that finally worked the best for me is this one: http://www.socialanxiety.us/findinghelp.... and I was lucky enough to have a structured behavioral group to go along with it. Sometimes the people that actually attend this program come back home and form groups.
Any questions, let me know ... I can't tell you how much this has improved my life!

Yes derealization and depersonalization are DEFINATELY symptoms of anxiety disorder. They are very common in anxiety sufferers. I have been struggling with GAD (General Anxiety Disorder) for more than 16 years now. It can make you really miserable in lots of ways. Goos luck toyou. I hope you have meds for this. If they dont seem to be helping you after taking them a few weeks, please let your doctor know. There are alot of meds available and sometimes it takes a while to find the one that is right for you. It took me many years. Now I am taking Xanax and it has worked miracles for me.

Panic attacks ARE an anxiety disorder. Talk to your doctor. There are things that can be done. My Mom and sister have the same thing. There are medications that help, things you can do yourself (breathing practices, yoga, meditation) and therapies that are very helpful. The dizziness and lightheadedness come from breathing shallowly a common problem with anxiety. Try slow deep breathing. You may be shocked how fast it can help. Breathe into your abdomen and learn how to calm yourself. You can do it!
Don't suffer alone with it. Go see your doctor and get some help.

Realize: many people feel these things. Feeling things and our potential to do things does not define us. It's our actions that define who we are.
there are 2 approaches to your problem.
Chemical medication (Paxil, etc)
Or, a change of attitude. If you decide to do this I very much recommend reading the Carlos Casteneda books. You will see similarities with the different people there, and you will see how they fixed their own heads. To simplify a major teaching point of the books...quit thinking to yourself. Make the voice in your head (your thoughts) shut the heck up....and listen. Listen to whatever you can physically hear. Don't think about what you're hearing and start to analyze it, just listen. That inner silence gives you great strength and stamina. It's almost a meditation.
It's up to you to decide which path you will take. Ultimately you will have to control your self.
Good luck

Yes, these can be symptoms of anxiety disorders and/or panic attacks. You should really discuss this with your doctor or therapist.

You could probably worry yourself into having a panic attack. Find something to get your mind off yourself.
