I'm just wondering if this sounds normal: I know a woman who is 27 years old, very nice and intelligent person (she wants to be a doctor)...what does she see in a 24 year old guy who's heavily in to pot, isn't that bright, lives in his aunt's basement and who has slept with I'm guessing 20+ women? Does that make any sense at all?

Might be because he has a good supply and just maybe well endowed.

There are some possibilities:
1. He has something she needs. Ex: attention, romantism, money, charm, etc.
2. He is very "loaded".
3. He is a great flirter.
4. He is using some magical spell.
5. She is desperate.
6. She has low self esteem.
7. She is blind.
8. She is an idiot.
9. He has a big d**k.
10. He is a sex guru/ sex master.
11. He is honest & polite. Women like honest & polite guys.
12. He is living in his aunt's mansion basement.
13. He is good looking & has a nice body, but you jealous of him & don't admit it.
14. His father is a lecturer in a univ. where she is going to.
15. His father is a head of a hospital, so she can ask him to recruit her.
16. She is a compassionate woman, willing to love someone without judging appearances.
17. You are nosy person who minds other's business.

She most likely has very low self esteem. Sometimes the brightest, most intelligent women are with such losers because they feel inadequate in other areas. Maybe she feels she cant find any better, maybe she feels that she'd rather be unhappy but with someone, than to be alone. There are lots of reasons people are in bad relationships, most of it comes down to low self esteem.
She won't see how her life could be better without him until shes not with him anymore. I was with a pothead for about 2 1/2 yrs, and I didn't realize how horrible it was until after I broke it off.
Just be a friend to her, and whenever she realizes how he is, be there for her and help her realize that she is a wonderful person.

Thats very simple. The VAST majority of women have no interest in decent, responsible, down to earth men with jobs. They prefer the 'bad boy' type. Perhaps if you were an unemployed crack head and ex-con you'd fare better. No joke.

some people like to be someone whom the feel are beneath them to feel superior. Or maybe because they are scared to be with someone at their level because it could be challenging. scared to go after someone like them because of rejection. to really answer this ? correctly i would have to know the person but maybe she just wants someone who she can chill with that isnt on a serious level. may be he makes her laugh!!

Maybe the reason why you don't undertsand it is because it's not for you to figure out. I am sure that there is alot more to this guy that you don't know about or maybe she likes dating losers.
