lol, I have a feeling that some of the answers you are gonna get are going to make you wish you never asked this question...
For some, to see what she has to offer. Others, they let their minds run wild. Few, sizing her up and wondering what their chances are. Just depends on the guy.

It depends on the guy, but it is human nature for a people to look at other people. Some guys just automatically look without even realizing they may have offended their girlfriend or wife. Sometimes its to see if you may know that person or just see that what you have is a lot better. So basically it depends on the guy. Everyone has different reasons for looking at another woman. It goes the same way with women. It could be they are thinking nothing at all just a woman walking. Hope that gives you some insight on that idea.

Exactly what you think they do; they are thinking about how good looking she is with an eye to having sex with her.
This isn't because men are pigs, it's because are genes are written that way. The best way for the male genes to carry on is for the man to breed with as many women as quickly and as frequently as possible. This is a strategy that our genes use and it affects our instincts.
Soon after men discover women they start thinking about sex 60% of the time. This is the best way for our genes to survive. This is why men reach sexual climax so quickly and so easily, often a picture of a hot woman is enough to get us aroused.
For a woman to get pregnant, to carry it to term and to care for it later the most important thing in her life are her relationships. This explains why women seem to gossip. They aren't foolish hens chattering away they are trying to strengthen their relationship.
As for sex a woman needs to have a man stay inside her for a long time, so she is slow to reach sexual climax. She wants to keep him around to help care for her child so she is able to have sex all year around. This doesn't matter on what the woman thinks or wants this is how her genes have programmed her to think.
Of course we are all thinking reasoning animals and we can rise above out instinct, but our genes shape our instincts and our instincts govern how we normally think.
When a woman goes shopping she is considered to be answering her "nesting instinct." She is planning a future life and the things to fill it with. But, most women are only window shopping, they aren't shop- alcoholics who have to buy anything they see. Men can window shop as well, though with us its power tools, toys and pretty women.
