AD is Anno Domini, not After Death. Its latin for "year of our lord".

BCE means BC. Its just a politically correct way to say it.

BC = Before Christ

AD = Anno Domini (which is latin for in the year of the Lord)

bce= before common era=BC

ce (not ace)= common era=AD

I believe AD stands for Anno Domini - latin for "the year of our Lord" which is supposed to be the year Christ was born.

Technically though when the calandar was made there was a slight discrepency. Christ was most likely born in or around 5 AD. Just a little bit of trivia for you =)

Time, space, and gravity are all interconnected. Each plays off the other and one or more might just be a side effect of the other. It helps if we don't have to change the entire calender. We just had to remove the religious over-tone, but year zero is marked by the events it had been marked by before. Kinda lazy, if you ask me.

Someone quoted some latin phrase for AD, its not after death, but something about after birth. So year zero is when jesus apparently was born.

BCE is an attempt to deny Christ. The only zero is the people who deny Christ.
