can i make a home made formaldahyde?

my fiance's favorite fish died tonight, and i immediately though of a grasshopper my nana caught and mailed it to us in a home made type formaldahyde in a jar...

How do i preserve a dead fish without freezing it??

I know, it's kinda morbid

it is very morbid, bury the darn fish or flush it down the toilet and then take her/or him out to dinner and give her/or him another fish - nice way of saying I love you
