No,

According to IBC
"IBC Root Beer: http://www.ibcrootbeer.com/ibc_rb.html
Contains: carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, caramel color, sodium benzoate (preservative), artificial and natural flavors, food starch - modified, citric acid. No Caffeine."

Diet Facts.com: http://www.dietfacts.com/html/items/27427.htm
Agrees.

Most root beers don't contain caffeine, and IBC makes the best root beer I have ever tasted.

A&W root beer does not have caffeine in it... however, I believe Barq's root beer does. Read the label. If it is caffeine free, it will say... if you don't see that, read the ingredients. If it has caffeine, it will be listed as an ingredient. Just be sure to check the labels, because some brands add caffeine to their root beer even though root beer naturally does not contain caffeine.

Go here https://tinyurl.im/aHLuv

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true
