ok this boy i like never talks to me unless i start the conversation...and he never really goes out of his way to talk to me...however i heard from his friends that he liked me...could it be that he is shy or that he doesnt like me really?

I believe he likes you but very shy...just give him some time to cool off. He probably likes you the same way you like him.

Ask him on a date or something. Even if he's shy, what idiot would pass up a chance to go on a date with a girl he likes?

Read his body language.....
His body will always give away what his mouth doesnt. Does he smile when your talking. Does he hug you? Does he stare into your eyes while your talking? You can always tell when someone like you. If your not getting that "extra something" during your exchanges, then I wouldnt pursue it.

watch out for boys that say they like you when they really don't.
