It depends on your religion.

Jackie seems like she/he is a bit on the strange side.

I have donated my body to a Medical school when it ceases to function. They will hack me in all manner of itty bitty pieces, (there is a whole bunch of previous medical stuff in there to play with and all), they will cremate me a piece at a time, and when they get done with the usable stuff, they will ask my kin if they want the leftovers. I think I would make a good 'doggie bag' myself. So I could have both, cremation and burial. Ask Jackie what she thinks is gonna happen to me??

It doesnt matter. We all return to dust. Burning the dead is a faster route to the dust than a decomposing body.

That is the plain fact.

But neither cremation nor burial nor entombment will get you to Heaven.
Belief in the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour is the only route to Heaven there is. Read John 3:16 in the Bible. Then Acts 2:38

I don't think it really matters what happen to the body once it dies. There are people who perish in fires by accident and nothing is left to bury. That doesn't mean that they didn't go to heaven. I used to think that way too, but not anymore. It' s a matter of properly disposing of the remains of a person. Whether a person gets to heaven or not, is up to God.

WOW that is a huge miss conception. it is a preference is all some people can not afford to be in a casket and some can not stand the idea if there casket leaking later on in time and worm getting in and eating away at there flesh. As for Heaven or Hell think about this even Jesus was in mankinds common grave aka (hell) for 3 days. also think about this would a loving GOD allow the very ones he created to BURN for ever and ever. I think not. GOD is a GOD of Love not hate and tourment.

It doesn't matter. You can get cremated or buried, either way if you have accepted Jesus into your heart you go to Heaven. First your soul then it is reunited with your body in Heaven. God is Almighty, He can do that.

during the resurrection, we will be given new bodies anyways. They will be similar to the ones we have now, but perfected. So whether you're buried, cremated, lost at sea or eaten by vultures, your spirit survives and God will still be able to find it.

anyone who says cremated people go to hell is a hillbilly cretin who is full of crap

get cremated simply because ... who wants to be worm food? cremation seems much more pure and clean

It makes no difference if you are buried, cremated or whatever. When Jesus commands Death and Hades to give up their dead as stated in Revelation, all people will rise to be judged.

Should we get buried or get cremated to get to heaven?

Neither.

It is accepting The PLAN OF SALVATION that gets one in to Heaven.......NOT what one does, or does not do!

If you get eaten by worms and pooped out as dirt or consumed by fire and dissolved to dirt which is going to be harder for God to put back together when he comes again to take us home?

I think both are as easy as each other for a God with no limitations. I think you can relax about your poppa and either way is fine.
