how to uncover early trauma?

I have an uncle who is a pedofile. I have no memory of being sexually abused, but I have difficulties with people and intimacy. If I was abused at an early age before I can remember anything, then how would I know if anything happened, how would I deal with it?

I work almost exclusively with people recovering from trauma and I don't recommend hypnosis or techniques that are geared towards stimulating memory retrieval as they are unreliable. I do recommend that you consult a therapist who has expertise in treating trauma survivors and that you trust that when it is necessary and that when you are ready, you will remember on your own.
