Jesus told the repentant to sin no more.I fail Him all the time yet strive to live for Him,and make daily choices according to what I believe Is God's word. Why does that bother you,if it does? Do you have anything stronger to cling to?We are all searching for the truth right?

Preach it!

It probably bothers people that you have that certainty when they don't or that you think differently to them. Some people are like that.

It's great that you are working so hard towards a better relationship with God. Keep at it!

Everyone is searching for truth - it's just that some people haven't found the first clue - yet.

God Bless!

Natural man prefers to do good, and have no one to answer to for anything. Like, live and let live. If you did good enough, then maybe you might be all right. And other such things as this. Staring accountability squarely in the face, that there is a God that demands perfection is a scary thought. People don't like it, and prefer a softer answer or just none at all. To say that you have a personal relationship with God, to some people, smacks of something straight out of the insane asylum. Yet the Bible does comment on such as this. It does say that people will revile you and persecute you, but you are to rejoice for Jesus has overcome the world. The world wants to say no, that isn't true, but there is just to much that says differently. The lost wish to remain so, and resent hearing that there is anything different.

Relax. The snarky comments you get - either about your intelligence, or some perceived problem in the Bible, or some Christian somewhere who does something wrong - they're not about you specifically.

Christians are just the flavor of the month - you're a politically correct target right now. Your attackers would desperately love to speak truth to power, but neither the pope nor the president spend much time on YA, so you're a convenient bad guy that they think they can harass.

And anyway, why do you care? You've already got the good stuff.

Cheers.

Well, two parts. It bothers people to see others finding the path they need to take for they themselves are lost. They are afraid, just as an ethnic group or differing orientation of one thing or another is feared by closed minded folk.

Well, in some cases the fear is justified. How many people have been killed in the name of Jesus. The inquisitions, witch trials people beat up in school for being a different religion. Some people see Jesus as a great man but are fearful of his followers.

People could be bothered by either of these reasons or others.

A third part....
One other is that your friends may be worried that you are joining a cult that may cause you to lose yourself and follow others with out thinking for yourself.

does the end justify the means ? And if you were to find out you were serious lied to and mislead even though you did what most would consider good ;would you be crushed or accept the truth and continue to do good ? Personally as long as you don't contribute to the problems through false beliefs I'm not bothered at all but feel you may be cheating yourself not developing your own mind to moralize without being told like child correct me if I'm wrong I'm not trying to be contentious or offensive .I don't like to think people's minds are stunted in this way .

It bothers me when brainwashed fanatics attempt to sell me on the source of their mania....the flawed, man-made book that is made to be the word of God. Yes, I too, am searching for the truth, and it's not in the Bible. Unlike insecure people who need a crutch, I do not need anything to cling to.

Because it makes no sense, that's why. It is very hard for me to understand why anyone believes something so nonsensical and sometimes just utter ridiculous. Jesus did not tell anybody anything because by all accounts, he did not exist. Do you not feel like a fool believing a mythological being to be real?

It doesn't bother me. Why should it? The only time xtians bother me is when they try to shove thier beliefs down other people's throats. Which by the way, takes many forms. The most common one I see is when a xtian gets into a managerial position no one but other church members get promoted.
