I am highly offended. Last month my entire email account was deleted and I have been trying to contact yahoo to find out why. My only assumption is that an answer to someone's question was that I feel that sometimes paddling a child is an effective form of behavior modification...this is MY opinion...why is it wrong or offensive??? Also I get a violation thing today because some overly religious person asked why atheists don't go door to door trying to get people to not believe in god. My opinion is that overly religious people are annoying because they force their beliefs down your throat and when you have you own ideas, they condemn you and play the role of god telling you that you are going to hell. I said that I am neither an atheist nor a religious freak. Is this opinion wrong...or are you offended by it? If you want to ask a question don't get defensive and report those whose opinion is different from your own. honestly, get a life.

I had that email address for like 10 years. I never even got a violation warning. Now all my account info, my address book, everything gone and Yahoo is worthless. All I asked if you a PERSON, a real live human being to work with me to tell me why intest of the one size fits all automated messages that are of no help whatsoever.
p.s. I may have said that sometimes kids need their little @sses beat....not paddled exactly, same diff.

no, see, this is not "chatting" it is a question...several actually if you count. the first being why aren't we supposed to have real opinions, the second being am I totallt out of line to say that I believe that kids sometimes need paddled and the third being is it offensive to tell a religious person that I don't like having what they believe shoved down my throat. satisfied?

I completely agree. Some of us are allowed to have real opinions and others are not. I saw a question posted dealing with this issue ... how can we honestly express real thoughts and ideas if we're being censored? Truthfully, all Answers really is, is playing the game. If everyone likes what you say, you're good ... if you say something that offends a few people, you're in trouble.

properly, I particularly loaf round contained in the Classical communicate board, and day-after-day, there are questions like this: "the position am i able to'm getting the sheet music for Bella's Lullaby?" "the position am i able to receive Patchyball's Cannon for loose?" "What are some extremely darkish, depressing products of music?" I advise, do not those people see a zillion identically-worded questions even as they're writing THEIRS? and obviously, enable's no longer element out each and each of the questions which aren't any more something better than thinly veiled requests for homework help. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!... Cheers, Hafwen.

Maybe it was just a technical glitch. You have to remember there are hundreds of thousands of people using Yahoo Answers and mail and the Yahoo Answer staff is probably just a 100 people so a lot can go wrong and not be addressed right away, or ever. I've seen a lot of nasty goings on in yahoo Answers and yours sounds pretty mild in comparison. If you want to keep mail it would probably be a good idea to save it to your PC if you can.

Too many people are actually giving their opinion of something with a question mark at the end of it kinda like you just did.
Some people consider that chatting or not a question.
Perhaps Yahoo could add two choices from the asker option:
Choice 1 Asker wants facts.
Choice 2 asker wants personal opinons.

Start your own site. I am sure if you do there will be some subjects you would not like discussed on it. You will make boundaries. I am sure they will be different to the ones Yahoo have made but you would defiantly make boundaries. Common sense things like age appropriate material, child protection mechanisms etc. As time went buy your rules would seem draconian to some of your users and eventually someone will write a letter just like yours. All in a site you created!!!
When I read your comments I wondered who had most thought out the cause and affect development of the yahoo site today. You or your closed minded conversationalists.

Don't take it personally. Chances are your account got deleted for some other reason, having nothing to do with the content of your responses (unless you used profanity etc.)
