In China when we go out with boys, they alway pay for everything. If a girl insist to pay for the meal, the boy will think that she doesn't respect him as a man. When we go out with our close friends, the one with more money will pay, sometimes we go on dutch too.I find it's different in western countries.

Mostly it's dutch, but with good friends.. it's more tit for tat... like I got this.. .then the next time the other person wants to show you up. But for women, hell, I have no issues whatsoever... I might offer if she is a friend... but if she insist, even in the slightest way, I quickly let her.. which often times leads to the girl bartering.. "well, ok.. uh.. how about I just get the tip?" lol... anyway... I know I am a man, and a damn good one... I don't need to buy my womenfolk food to prove it.

When on a date the tackiest thing to do is to go dutch. I went out on a date with this guy and he brought up the idea of going dutch while in line for the movie tickets... I looked at him like he was crazy. Needless to say that was the last time he EVER saw me. I have no problems paying for a date (even if it's the first), but if a man wants to go dutch, he's indirectly telling me that he's not that into me (whether the problem is me or another woman).

With friends, it depends on who I'm with... normally one of us would pick up the tab, but there have been times when we would all chip in. However, I hate when you have that one friend that adds up everything down to how much tax and tip we each need to pay. These same friends have been treated at bars, clubs and dinners for years and have never offered to pay for a single meal.

People who like to go dutch are cheap!

Usually when going out to dinner with friends... we all chip in. Sometimes if its just me and a friend then I'll offer to pay or sometimes they will offer to pay, but usually its dutch.

Absolutely. I only let people pay for me when I'm in dire need of coffee and have no cash on me. Other than that, I'll pay my own way, and they're going to like it.
