could go either way. i know from personal experience. it really sucks. i've lost one friend because we attempted at a relationship but it didn't work out now he won't even talk to me at all! but i started dating a friend another time and we've been happy for 4 yrs. so it just depends on the situation. i do know that if the current one and i split i couldn't still be his friend it would just be too weird. i did date a friend one time and we were able to end it on good terms and still speak to this day i think the outcome greatly depends on the individuals involved. best of luck!

it sort of depends if i like him then yeah i would. if the date went really bad then it could ruine a friendship.also it could be a match made in heaven cuz why would he ask you out if he didn't like you, and why would you go if you didn't like him. good luck!!!

There is really no way to tell for sure... but it will definitely change things forever... but I think that everyone should be friends before they are lovers... I think more times then not these relationships tend to work out....

You know I personally think it would be cool to marry your best friend. I mean come on, you already know them well and all you have to do is get married and have all the mooshy gooshy stuff.
