How do I check my dentist's credentials. On her card, it says "Harvard Graduate" how do I confirm that?

If you care that much, check her diploma, which is hanging on the wall somewhere. Ask what rank she graduated, while you're at it.

Of course, maybe she graduated from Harvard undergrad and then went to some Universidad for dentistry...

If you can get hold of a copy of the ADA directory, they include the school and year of graduation, even for non-members. The on-line directory (available only to ADA members anyhow...) does not include this information.

Harvard does indeed have a school of dentistry.

It would be very foolish for a dentist to put an academic credential on a business card that was not authentic. Of course, you could ask to see her diploma, but it would pretty much shoot the relationship.
