me and this guy had a conversation today about going out, and I really like him, but he told me no for now and I asked him to tell me why...and he told me that one of the main reasons was that I'm too clingy...

what are some ways that I can avoid being clingy? Cuz I really want him to change his mind...

can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated... =)

;) You gotta play hard to get!

When y'all hang out act like, yeah you're having a good time but you could still do other things.

Don't call him -- let him call you (and if you have caller ID, and you see it's him, wait at least two rings)
Don't act desperate to see him every day or talk to him every day... if you do, you do --- if you don't then there's always tomorrow!

Best of Luck!

Well... the first thing you can do is respect the fact that he's asking for space. Not-so-clingy people desire their own space as well.

2.) Go out with friends.

3.) Forget to call once in a while.

4.) Limit your time spent with him, and more importantly your desires to want to spend so much time with him.

5.) If all else fails, dump him and find someone just as clingy as yourself (this may backfire however, and the tables may turn... you my begin complaining about his clinginess)

It sounds like this guy is not interested in you. I would move on but if you dont want to do that, you can just back off and give him space. Maybe just be friends for a while and let him see the real you without any clingyness
